Devil Shard is a retro style match-3 RPG. You play as a hero who needs to stop a war caused by the emperor. During the journey you will discover more than the truth and face a great evil.

Could have been great...
The payment model destroys the game. You have to pay "gold" not only to upgrade characters and equipment but also to unlock new areas. The price for these purchases increases rapidly the further you get into the game. And the difficulty increases significantly after a few levels/areas. When you die you loose your equipment and your experience, which isn't unreasonable in itself, but troublesome given the mentioned increase in difficulty. All in all, you have to pay quite a lot with real money, or grind for many, many hours. It's a shame on a game which otherwise is pretty nicely designed and appears to be extremly well programmed.
