Functions
Plug into MX!
-You can play full 271 voices and voice store function if you connect your iOS with Yamaha MX series.
Effects/EQ edit
-You can adjust parameters to edit effects and equalization.
Ball controller
-Touch and drag in ball controller to modulate the sound by simultaneously changing multiple parameters based on the ball position.
Step sequencer
-We can store the ball position in the currently selected scene box.
Arpeggiator and chord pads
-You can play Arpeggiator and Chord pads in addition to keyboard with various scales.

A real FM Synth for iOS! But...
This new FM-synth from Yamaha sounds and feels great!
But, to really use it (unlock all features) you have to buy a new hardware synth/MIDI-keyboard from Yamaha for more than 500$...
The MX49/61 keyboard that unlock this is'nt even available here in Sweden yet :-(
Yamaha, we are many, especially with iPads, that already got a descent MIDI-controller, but, so eagerly wants a full blown FM Essential app...
Why can't we just pay for this app like we always do?
I'm gladly pay 30$ for this app to unlock it...
I see on many many forums that we are many out there willing to pay a lot for this unlocking...
Please Yamaha, rethink on this...
