HALIDE MEETS LIQUID GLASS Welcome to Halide 2.26! As you a tell by the number, this is our inaugural update for iOS 26 and Liquid Glass.  This update includes bug fixes and minor improvements for iOS 26. Our main Adaptive Icon is now rendered with a beautiful Liquid Glass style; enjoy glassy widgets on your Home Screen in Clear mode, and even notice beautiful Liquid Glass menus and details in the app. Stay tuned for a bigger update with a set of design changes we have been working on for a long time — it will be taking full advantage of the new “Liquid Glass" design system.  In the mean time, if you have any iOS 26 related issues, please reach out support@lux.camera, and we'll get right on it!

This update includes minor bug fixes. Specifically, due to conflicts between Camera Controls and the action button, we've disabled the action button override on the latest iPhones until we find a workaround.

In this small update to Halide, we have a few big improvements. For one, we noticed that launches could stall under rare circumstances, so we've found a way to speed things up. We've fixed an issue where some devices wouldn't see our action button menu in settings. Finally, we've updated our membership screen in settings. This update fixes a bug in purchase checking that caused some users to think they had to upgrade to Halide Mark II. This happened in the process of updating Halide's purchase-plumbing to the latest system recommended by Apple. This small update fixes some edge cases when capturing a photo from the lock screen. It also contains all the features in our last big update, iPhone 16 capture control! You can now quickly access EV and manual focus control with a few swipes. We know it can be frustrating to lose that perfect shot with a stray swipe. That's why we added a "Lock" option. Once you dial in your settings, set the capture control to the Lock to save yourself from goofing. Why launched with three capture control to make things faster and easier to navigate. EV and Manual Focus felt right for now, but if you want more, we'd love to know what! Let us know at @halideapp on Threads.

We're excited to launch support for iPhone 16 capture control! You can now quickly access EV and manual focus control with a few swipes. We've also added a "Lock" item. We know it can be frustrating to lose that perfect shot with a stray swipe. Once you dial in your settings, set the capture control to the Lock to save yourself from goofing. Why are we only launching with three capture control options? We found that fewer options make things faster and easier to navigate. Halide 2.16 brings the biggest change ever to how you use your iPhone as a camera: On iOS 18, you can now add Halide as your camera of choice on your Lock Screen and Control Center. This is far beyond just using a Lock Screen widget: Halide will be able to launch and take shots even when your phone is locked. LOCK SCREEN ACCESS It’s here! Start setting up Lock Screen Capture by long-pressing on your wallpaper when your iPhone is unlocked. You can now remove the Camera or Flashlight control at the bottom of your screen and replace it with Halide! Some features of Halide will require unlocking your iPhone, of course — but our entire camera works great. We think this is an incredible upgrade to the camera experience in iPhones. No need to choose: you can still swipe right on the Home Screen to go to Apple Camera. You can also just add Halide in the new iOS 18 Control Center!
