Contra could have returned in a better shape

While to some extent, Contra Returns tries to be loyal to the original series, level, and boss designs are done poorly. Each story level is too short and too static. New bosses give the feeling that they do not belong to the world of Contra. After a while, progress becomes too slow, which requires players to purchase the very expensive in-game privileges. The high dependence of the game on in-game purchases has pushed it to focus on leveling up rather than the story and the design.
However, it is nice to play Contra online in teams or competitive contests.
Overall, it is very nice to see that Contra has returned.
