Leszáll‪ó‬ 4+

The first time I became interested in coding was during my final year of high school, and that’s when I wrote the first version of Leszálló as a passion project. Over the years, we reached 5,000 users. Now, with a computer science degree in my hands, I’ve rewritten my favorite project from the ground up, putting all my knowledge into it.

This is Leszálló 3.0.

• NEW LOOK: A fresh icon, a more mature color palette, and a cleaner, refined user interface.

• iOS 18 COMPATIBILITY: Dark and tinted icons, along with tinted widgets.

• DIRECTION CHANGE: The super-cute vehicle icons can now change direction depending on whether you’re boarding from a shared or split platform. Not sure which platform is which? The animation will help you figure out if the train is coming from the left or right.

• DEPARTURES: View nearby departures on a completely new page, along with their departure times. Live departure times are highlighted in green. You can filter by distance and sort by distance or route number.

• WIDGETS: Check nearby departures right from your home screen or even the lock screen.


• RELEVANT NEARBY DEPARTURES: In the Door View (you know, “EXIT 2. carriage 1. door” and similar), you’ll now see departure times related to your current location, not just where you’re going. For example, if you’re heading to Nyugati, it’s the departure times of the metro stop where you’re boarding, since that matter. Plus, if multiple lines share the same route, you’ll see all of them. For instance, on the “négyeshatos,” both the 4 and 6 tram departures will appear for you.

• LIVE ACTIVITIES: Picture this: You scan your pass, open Leszálló, check if the metro is about to leave, and realize you don’t need to run. You close the app, change your music, reply to messages, and by the time you’re off the escalator, tap back into Dynamic Island, and you’ll see which door to use and when the metro is arriving. No need to reopen the app. You can also set automatic dismissal to stop the Live Activity after a set time.

• UPDATED WATCH APP: If you have an Apple Watch, you can now access not just metros but all of Leszálló’s supported stops from your wrist. That’s over 500 tram stops, 80 HÉV stops, and almost 100 metro stops.
