MPDluxe is a remote controller for MPD, an open-source networked music playing system which can run on a variety of UNIX- and Linux-based systems. MPDluxe allows you to browse the music collection and saved playlists on the MPD server, play, pause and skip tracks, add tracks to and edit the current playlist, search the MPD database and control the playback mode. MPDluxe can handle music collections of any size, and is ready to work as soon as it connects to the MPD server.

Now works in Dark Mode.
Improvements to the index bar; when zooming in, it now shows prefixes spaced no more than a screenful apart, for easier paging through large directories.
Various bug fixes and improvements.

Enjoy the simplicity

I use MPDluxe to control my Chord Poly.

I have used Glider for a while. When I found MPDluxe I came to enjoy the simplicity. Created playlists from MPDluxe show correct track meta data, playlists from Glider did not.

I can start play a song from MPDluxe and then close the app and the music continues to play. I can connect to Poly via GoFigure app and can see the song which is playing and also skip track from the GoFigure app. Why anyone would want this is to be able to store playlists of music in the Poly so that you can access the music in the Poly without the need of wifi, the GoFigure app connects via Bluetooth.

There are some small things that could be better but I do not wish for the app to be more comprehensive. I like the simplicity and the lack of artwork is no isue for me. Connection performance is of more importance.

Never got it to connect

Could not connect to my mpd host.
