My default IRC app for iOS.

This app works great along with a ZNC server for a constant connection. This works fast, simple and looks good. Simplicity is something I value and after a setup there’s no fuzz. Just your chats with the necessary advanced features hidden for a clean interface.

There’s even an addon to znc to ensure that push notifications are sent to your devices when your name is mentioned. And all this for an app that’s still upgraded, no in app purchases.

This app works for me. And will probably work for you too!

Nice, but...

Works well except when screen close all networks disconnect after a couple of minutes.

The background time limitation is unfortunately out of our control, iOS will
only allow us to stay connected for a short time period before it will want
Palaver to stop running in the background.

We would recommend you check out ZNC, it's an IRC bouncer that will let you
stay connected to IRC even while your client has disconnected. When your
client reconnects to ZNC it will receive all the unread messages so you can
get started right where you left off.

Great experience

This is the best IRC app on the App Store. It has a nice interface and with its ZNC extension you're able to get push notifications for private messages, which is awesome.
