PixelPencil is an app that was created to comfortably draw pixel art.

In addition to the layer function, there are also functions such as layer grouping and blend mode.

Great for beginners, easy to use

It’s really simple to use, there are no in-app purchases which means you have access to all functions for free, very few ads and no pop-up ads, only a small add in the bottom that doesn’t bother very much, no over-advanced or confusing functions, I miss a few small functions like when you’re picking from a palette or something and just wanna paste the color-code, put there’s nowhere to paste it so you got to do it manually. (At least I could not find anywhere to paste it) Otherwise, great app, you can make both art and animation and also 100% free to use so that’s a BIG plus.
