I can no longer support this app as the developers greed comes before the user. I've bought every in app purchase for this and now, the developer ads a subscription with features that paying customers can't access without also buying the subscription.If you want to piss on your loyal customers, learn from this developer.
The once best camera app just became the worst.

Get ready to subscribe to have access to certain camera features, and pay a one time payment for others.

Go buy Camera+ 2 instead. Way better deal and subscription free.
Or ProCam 6 which also have night mode and more.

Additional features like Auto Perspective Correction involve additional development cost. They are achieved through hard and focused work and require maintenance.
A subscription model is the best fit for the ongoing cost of development and our high standard, since our users expect a high quality product that is kept up to date at all times.

It's only the premium features that are offered as a subscription.
Without a subscription, you will still continue to receive free updates and new features.
Existing users get to keep all premium functions that they have already purchased.
Not all users wish to use premium functions as for instance Autoamtic Perspective Correction. Users that wish to use them make high demands. The wish list for extensions (as for instance to make APC work in other camera modes, even in video mode) is long already. With a one-time payment, we would have to offer the feature for a very high fee, since we would have to calculate the price to include cost for all future features, even though the functions are not available yet. There are other premium functions we are planning to introduce where the situation is similar. For these reasons, we do see a subscription as a model that is fair to both sides.

Why all the sudden is the app adding all that hideous oversharpening to photos??? Can’t even find any settings to turn it off.

edit: Apps like Moment has this functionality. Changing “processed photo quality” to “speed” turns all processing off, without the need for RAW.
I strongly prefer the interface on this app over the competition though. But the forced processing when using HEIF is currently a dealbreaker.

Thank you for updating your comment. There has not been a change in view of image processing when capturing photos in ProCamera. It comes as part of the file formats used in the iOS camera system. We are sorry about any inconvenience. What you are saying about image processing has registered with us, our developers are looking into the matter. For now, this is what we can suggest:
In camera mode Photo, activate Manual mode M or Semi-automatic mode SI in the control panel,
return to the capture screen and switch Smart HDR off by tapping the HDR button.
This should circumvent oversharpening in pictures.

Also, if that were an option for you, you could capture in RAW which provides you with pure camera sensor data, without any image processing being applied, but requires editing.
