Note that this app is free only for 20 recipes. Wrong to advertise something as free and ask for money once effort has been spent into the content.

Hi, I am are sorry about this misunderstanding. Happy to clarify better. The app is available for download totally free, with the complete features set unlocked, so that people can have a real try of the app, with ALL its abilities and features. You are right, indeed the free trial app is limited to 20 recipes only. To have beyond that, you need to upgrade. It's a trial version, for people to make up their mind and decide if they like it before they decide to buy the app or not. We state is very clearly in the app description, and also in the app's user interface once you begin saving a new recipe: there is a clear disclaimer on the screen where you choose how do you want to create the recipe (by photo, web or typed). In addition, the Appstore description also says very clearly that this free app has in-app purchases inside. We apologise it was not clear enough for you. We wish we could have the resources to make the app completely free, but being just a couple of small developers (and not some large firm with endless resources...) - if the app was completely free, we simply couldn't afford to keep maintaining it, support new iOS versions, and add more great features as we constantly do today. Decent App, Stinky Pricing

I decided to buy this app because I liked the features. And then I came across their ridiculous and very expensive pricing structure. How awful is it when you cannot add to your recipes on the web even though you bought the app; for you didn’t buy the mobile + web subscription which costs a tonne. It’s a decent app, just not respectable for its opportunistic and out of touch commercial model.

Hello, and thank you for your honest feedback. We are happy to hear that you liked the app when you were using it, and sorry to read about your disappointment from the price. We obviously respect your decision, but we would like to use this opportunity to explain things better. One of the reasons we charge an annual subscription is storage costs. We offer a sync & backup account for the recipes at the cloud, as part of the app. Thanks to this cloud sync & backup, your recipes are accessible from all your devices, wherever you are (home, at the grocery store, camping, and so on...). The recipes are mostly photos (or screenshots), and long term storage of so many high-resolution images, has substantial costs for us. It's important for us to ensure we'll be able to keep improving the app all the time, constantly adding new abilities, providing efficient support, and maintaining the quality of our product to keep up with the frequent technology changes. To be able to do all of these: we charge a yearly fee of $1/mo ($11.99/year) for the full Mobile version of our product, or $2/mo for the Mobile+Computer version. Some people do not need the computer access, and use only their phone, for this reason we separated these two packages, according to everyone's needs. Obviously, every user is entitled to make his own decisions about this, but we are confident that it actually saves people much more than $1 or $2 a month, when helping them to be more efficient with the grocery shopping, and encouraging to cook more at home instead of ordering and eating out.
