Good functionality, subscription pricing

Nice functionality, but why the F does every app need to charge with a subscription model? Unless I'm actually subscribing to content or infrastructure it doesn't make any sense. 🤯

Hi there! I understand where you are coming from as there are lots of subscriptions apps these days. Just to give some insight on the why, it's unfortunately one of the only sustainable business models. The picture for many small developers is not as lucrative as it may seem. The making of Refocus means: having a separate full-time job, reserving leftover free time to making Refocus (nights & weekends), and the money earned from the full-time job goes into marketing and making of Refocus. There is no profit. 99% of users do not pay anything. Maybe, with lots of luck and many years it can turn into something that can pay a salary, but that is not the case for most projects. Again, fully respect your opinion, just giving some perspective that the picture is likely not that great for many of the apps you use.
