Description

SiteSucker is a Macintosh application that automatically downloads Web sites from the Internet. It does this by asynchronously copying the site's webpages, images, PDFs, style sheets, and other files to your local hard drive, duplicating the site's directory structure.

SiteSucker can be used to make local copies of Web sites. By default, SiteSucker "localizes" the files it downloads, allowing you to browse a site offline, but it can also download sites without modification.

What’s New

Version 5.3.4

Fixed a bug that caused SiteSucker to always log HTTP error descriptions in English.
Fixed a bug that caused SiteSucker to crash when a tag attribute had a missing value.

Fantastic

This app has worked for me on several occassions to download sites with good result. I have used it multiple Wordpress-sites and one Drupal-site. Worth every penny.

Easy yet puwerful tool

Easy to use, moderate settings, yet very useful.

Cannot download a password protected https

- The interface rather basic, similar to Teleport Pro I used to use in 1990s.
- I could not download the only site I needed, an https:// with password protection. I spent some time changing the user agents, removing and adding the credentials to the Keychain and/or to the url. All this time the Sucker was complaining about 403 error code, however the site worked just fine from the browser.

Wasted money in my case, I hope they will be donated to charity :)
For someone else the application could be usefull though, at the end it’s all a matter of preferences and luck.
