Sprite Something is a drawing, animation and tilemap application for pixel artists and game developers. Draw multiple frames individually, then quickly drag and drop frames into an animation, or use your frames to draw tilemaps for your game levels. Export your creations to PNG, animated GIF's and CSV files (tilemaps).

Tips
- touch and hold to select color when using pencil, line or fill
- touch the onion skin button once for relative frame difference, twice for locked onion skin frame
- when exporting individual frames, limit exported frames by creating a list of comma separated numbers or number ranges (i.e. 1,3,5-8,12)

Drawing supports PNG files up to 1024x1024, tilemaps up to 200x200.

Pixelart on the iPad at its best.

A very good app for pixelartist and anyone who like this type of art. One of the reason I got an iPad for apps like this one. The thing I like most in this app is the animation-function. Didn't find a better and easy-to-understand app than this. I create games on my free time and a while ago I stopped because I didn't find any good and cheap program/app to create awesome pixelsprites in, then I found this and this was a new beginning for the pixelartist in me. I highly recommend it!

Bra ide...

Men väldigt buggigt, jag har haft appen i tre dagar och den har redan krashat flera gånger och delar av det jag gjort har försvunnit. Kan också behöva lite bättre kontroller, onionskinn-knappen funkar nästan aldrig.

Wicked!

I've bought so much crap lately, so this was a pleasant surprise! Lots of features. Absolutely LOVE the tile mapping. I spirited a bird moving in 5 frames just to try things out, and it went super fast. If you are into any kind of sprite based game development, this app is GOLD. Awesomely small file size as well.

Cons? Well. Some of the icons aren't self explanatory. Mainly, I refer to that "onion layer" buttons to display one frame below another. And copying single frames. While the function is handy, it's hard to use, and I had to do trial and error every time I used it. What about drag and drop?
