Time Sink helps you track how you spend your time on your Mac. It automatically logs opened windows and applications, and keeps track of how long you've spent using things in total (i.e. running), and in the foreground (i.e. actively using). It does this without any user intervention required to start or stop processes - it's just set-and-forget easy!
New ad-hoc timers even let you track time you spend away from your Mac, so you can capture your entire day.
You can view graphs showing your usage over time, sorted either by date and time (showing a logical view of your work habits), or by total and/or foreground time used, showing which apps and windows get most of your time. You can also create pools, which are groups of associated windows, to allow automatic tracking of activities -- put Safari, Firefox, and Chrome in a Browsers pool, for instance.
Data can also be exported manually or automatically, for further analysis in a spreadsheet or database program.

Good reminder / Documentation on where your days go
Iam usually easily bored and disturbed by this kind of "spend with hope, use with igorance" - Apps. However, Ido spend a load of time here and Ilike the idea and the way it can be adjusted to fit my, at the moment, felt needs. If I fail to act on the results, well I at least have them , and that alone makes priorities easier. Nicely integrated timer etc. For the price asked, a bargain. // Patrik, Sweden
Best time tracker
I have purchased several time tracking apps on the App Store and they have either been buggy or been hard to track time with.
What I love about Time Sink is that is seems stable, no crashes yet, and it tracks inactive time and active per application.
That’s great because you get a better picture of the time spent. You can also see how much inactive / active time spent on documents inside applications - great.
Pools make time tracking even easier by automatically calculating total inactive and active time for a set of applications.
