TomTom GO: Navigation, Maps 4+

Kanon! Ett problem dock, appen står och laddar och öppnar sig inte förrän flera försök. Provat på olika enheter (iPhone) samma på alla. Blir att jag öppnar en annan sämre navigation istället. Irriterande på en så bra sak!!!

Hej! Att förse dig med en otrevlig upplevelse är inte något vi är engagerade i. Vi är mycket ledsna för det här problemet. Vi har sett en fördröjning i appen sedan den senaste iOS 15-uppdateringen. Du kan vara säker på att vårt team aktivt undersöker denna fråga med yttersta prioritet. Under tiden, stäng av mobildata & Wifi /Starta om appen/slå på mobildata och kontrollera om det hjälper. ^Team TomTom

Överlag är jag väldigt nöjd med appen. Om man ska vara lite petig så kunde funktionerna i AppleCar play/Androidauto fungera lite bättre. T ex klickar man på ett tankställe på skärmen så skulle den svarat med en fråga om man vill köra dit. Dvs likadant som på appen i telefonen. Men det kanske kommer så småningom. Jag hade även önskat snabbare uppdateringar vid tillfälliga omledningar av vägar. T ex vägbyggen. Och då tänker jag på de som berör E6 vid Stenungsund. Fick svaret ”play” från er…?

The appearance of the maps is excellent. The traffic alert is also good. However many features could be improved or included to make Tomtom close to other navigation apps.

It was shown just 1 suggested route anytime I search. To find alternatives, a 3 step is required. Other apps provide at least 3 options for any search. Interestingly the Amigo app, which is from TomTom, is much more intuitive.
To find an alternative that avoid toll roads I need again to have 3 steps after the search result. In other apps, the alternative that avoid toll road is available as an option in the first search, when it is feasible. This is very useful in cities that have city tolls roads in Europe.
When searching for alternatives, the options are really weird. It looks like the algorithm used by TomTom try to give alternatives that are completely different from each other. All other apps provide alternatives that may be similar, but are the 3 best for the criteria. I would suggest the developers to try randomly to test the software against other apps and they will realize the difference.
TomTom provided a new feature where is possible to define the maximum velocity of the car. Although this is useful, it is not practical. For example, when I am driving in local roads and city I need to set a velocity. When driving on highways I need to set it again. I would suggest that, instead the maximum velocity, it would be possible to define a percentage for the maximum velocity of the street. Imagine that I drive most of the time at 90% of the maximum velocity, this data once input would be useful for me in any case, city, local roads or highways.
