You love the bus. The train is your main. But let’s be honest. Sometimes there’s no better way to zip around your city than with the wind at your back on a bicycle.

Well, we’ve got news for our pedal-powered compatriots:

- Say bonjour to our all new TURN-BY-TURN bike directions. Just tap “GO”!
- Find the safest, flattest, fastest trips across your city
- We’ll try to find protected bike infrastructure and quiet roads whenever possible. (We won’t suggest a painted bike lane on a busy street, unless it’s the only option)
- Tap on a bike trip to see the elevation, and how much of your trip is on safe routes
- We’ll also let you compare alternative routes, and plan bike trips entirely offline. Save that data!
- For more info on how we’re finding safer bike routes, read our blog at transitapp.com/bike

- Hello BEAUTIFUL new settings page
- Whether you’re as swift on two feet as a New York ice cream courier, or you prefer to stroll and roll at a leisurely pace, you can now customize your walking + bike speeds
- Toggle your trip planner preferences for walking and biking: from “never show them” to “only if it’s faster than transit” to “all the time”
- To access your settings, tap on your GO emoji on the top left of the homescreen

Good but

Lately stopped working properly. Location won’t update and the current GO trip just disappears sometimes.
I hope it gets fixed soon.
