Description
TravelVu is a new way of collecting data for travel surveys by using the location features in your smartphone. This new method enables the collection of new types of travel data, and offers better trip precision compared to traditional survey methods.
Using TravelVu you can track your daily trips and activities and see summaries of how far and by which mode you've travelled per day, week, and month. The contributed data will help civil planners to create a better transport system.
To use the app you can either participate in “Donate Data” or enrol in the specific survey you’ve been invited to participate in. Donate data is the right choice if you’re not participating in a particular survey.
The app use GPS in the background while you are moving which can have an impact on battery usage. In order to conserve battery, TravelVu uses the accelerometer to pause the GPS-collection when you are not moving.

Spännande att kunna följa sina resor och vanor, se hastigheter och sträckor för olika val. Det hade varit givande att oxå se CO2-avtryck.

Tack för ditt förslag kring CO2-avtryck. Appen är dock till för att mäta resandet utan att påverka. Därför har vi valt att inte visa CO2-avtryck i appen.
Krångligt
För krånglig app och data verkar inte lagras så att man kan godkänna flera dagar på en gång.
Lämnar mycket övrigt att önska
Dålig koordinatsättning vid rörelse. Envisas med att ibland föreslå tågresa när transport varit i bil. Den fattar fortfarande inte att jag kör elbil trots att jag angett att jag innehar elbil. Krångligt att göra ändringar i färdväg om koordinatsättningen varit usel. Svårt skilja cykel från gång. Hade varit bättre om man själv kunde ange färdsätt istället för att appen ska gissa.
