Ultrawider adds a button in the Youtube player controls that scales videos to fill an ultrawide screen.
Why is this necessary?
Despite Youtube supporting a variety of aspect ratios including 21:9 ultrawide, most videos are still uploaded as a 16:9 video with black bars to simulate a cinematic look. This might work fine on 16:9 monitors, but the experience is jarring on an ultrawide.
So, if you want to make use of your ultrawide monitor space when watching your favorite videos, Ultrawider is your friend!
