Description
Use Whitelines App when you want to:
・Capture your notes.
・Save your notes.
・Share your notes on Social Media, email, etc.
・Continue to work and edit your notes digitally.
The Whitelines App will capture your notes automatically when it detects all four corner codes on your Whitelines Paper and adjust the image to make it useful to you.
When using Whitelines Paper the app removes the background, so all that remains is your writing or drawing over a white background.
Whitelines App is perfect when you want to:
・ Review your notes on the go before an exam.
・ Share notes from a class with a friend.
・ Include a handmade drawing in a presentation.
・ Post an illustration or note to Instagram.
CAPTURE YOUR NOTES WITH WHITELINES APP
1. Tap the camera icon to enter capture mode. Whitelines App will capture your note automatically when it detects the full page (including all four corner codes), with the logo at the bottom of the page. Or, if you use other than Whitelines Paper tap the button to scan the note manually. Before scanning, choose between “Auto” or “Manual” to tell Whitelines App to remove the background automatically or to edit the image yourself.
2. If you have several pages of notes that you’d like to save as a stack, simply stay in the capture mode and continue to capture pages one at a time. Of course, you can also save your notes to existing stacks in the app.
3. Save, Use, Edit and Share the Notes
Choose if you’d like to save your note locally on your phone, or if you’d like to share it–with yourself or with somebody else. You can share your note with any app that processes image files, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, OneDrive, OneNote, Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, Line, Facebook installed on your phone. Tick the boxes on the Whitelines Paper to email the note or save it to Dropbox or Evernote.

Från toppen till något helt annat
Först av allt, jag gillar Whitelines papper och app. Har använt dem i flera år och varit mycket nöjd. Nu har allt gjorts om i appen och den fungerar inte alls som tidigare. För vissa blev det säker bättre, men tyvärr inte för oss. Jag och mina kollegor har använt appen för att scanna och dela handskrivna kundrapporter till Dropbox och därifrån har de sedan importerats i vårt CRM-system. En bock i Dropboxrutan, en scanning och ett knapptryck sedan var det klart och tillgängligt för alla kollegorna. Nu har kopplingen till Dropbox tagits bort och ersatts av telefonens vanliga dialogruta. Namngivningen av filer har också ändrats vilket gör att appen varje gång använder dagens datum som namn och när flera rapporter scannas samma dag måste de alltså manuellt namnändras i telefonen innan de sparas. Förr kunde vi scanna ett tiotal rapporter på någon minut, nu snittar vi på en halv till en minut per rapport och det krävs åtskilliga manövrar för att få rätt format (i vårt fall pdf) lagrat på rätt ställe och utan att skriva över tidigare filer. En stor fördel för oss var att appen var så lätt att använda att även äldre kollegor med lite mindre telefonvana klarade att scanna och skicka in sina handskrivna rapporter efter bara en snabb introduktion. Det kan vi helt glömma idag. Nu krävs nio knapptryckningar i en till synes helt ologisk ordning för att få rapporten dit den ska. Det innebär att bryggan mellan två generationers behov (äldre som vill skriva för hand och yngre som vill lagra digitalt) nu effektivt eldats upp av en klåfingrig apputvecklare. Det sagt har det kommit några nya funktioner i appen som säkert är kul för den som bara scannar för egen del, som t.ex. att lätt göra en pdf av flera scanningar. För oss i mitt jobb har funktioner som denna dock inget värde och vi kommer framöver istället troligen att använda vanliga papper för våra rapporter och scanna direkt i Dropbox-appen. Noterar för övrigt att det ligger kvar gammal information på supportsidorna på sajten och i appen om kopplingen till Dropbox. Det förvirrar ännu mer, men är nog mest slarv. Jättesynd att behöva överge en fantastisk produkt som jag verkligen älskat länge och rekommenderat många andra, men som den är nu finns inget av värde kvar för just oss.

Men jättesämst! Att ladda ner appen gick väldigt bra och smidigt. Rekommenderar nedladdningen stort. Att radera den går också väldigt smidigt och det är helt gratis! #LoveApple. Det var jättedumt av er att tillåta jättesnällt att vara snäll mot er medan han var dum.
