Thank you for your feedback! This information is important to us as it provides clues about where and when our weather prediction models don't perform as well as they do elsewhere. We are sorry to hear that our forecast didn't work out in your area. Generally, our forecasting models (GFS and Superforecast) work very well for most of our users and customers. However, localized weather phenomena such as thermals, or local extreme weather situations such as thunderstorms can have a negative impact on the quality of forecasts. Local influences such as steep mountain regions or complex coastlines, vegetation and populated areas also have a significant influence.

In any case, comparing Forecast and Superforecast is always helpful. These prediction models have both strengths and weaknesses. When both models predict a similar weather situation, the probability of occurrence is highest. Use our forecast map to get an impression of the general weather situation in the area.

Also helpful: Take a look at actual measurements of nearby weather stations. Those will give you the most accurate picture of the real conditions. Last but not least, by observing clouds and weather, you can assess how the weather is developing.
