Description

XAir Monitor Mixer is a personal monitor mixer for select Behringer and Midas digital mixers. It allows each musician on stage to choose exactly what they hear in their monitor without affecting (or being able to affect, even by accident) the band's main mix.

XAir Monitor Mixer supports the Behringer X18, XR18, XR16, XR12, and the Midas MR18 and MR12.

XAir Monitor Mixer deliberately does not include controls that would allow a musician on stage to accidentally mute channels or otherwise alter the main mix.

Usage:

1. Connect to the same WiFi network as the XR18. In most cases, this should be enough for the app to find your mixer. However, if your sound engineer has changed the default address of the mixer, you'll have to enter that address in the app's connection screen.
2. Choose which monitor you want to mix. If your sound engineer hasn't named these in a way that makes it obvious which is yours, ask him which is yours.
3. Mix away. :)

If you have feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, please visit the forums at xairmonitormixer.tetzfiles.com or send an email to xairmonitormixer@tetzfiles.com.

Note: support for mixers other than XR18 was recently added. If you run into any issues, please let us know. Ensuring proper compatibility with all supported mixers is our top priority.

Almost!! ,

only 1 major feature missing for me

Of all the third party x air apps, this is by far the cleanest display.
I’m using it with my XR16 mixer. We are a 3 piece band, all using Stereo In-ear monitoring.
My left/right busses are a linked AUX bus1+bus2. The bassist has his stereo in-ear mix on linked AUX busses3+bus4. All these monitor mixes can be nicely adjusted using your XAIRMONITORMIX app and your app shows (in it’s settings) 4 busses. (side note: I think it would look even more cleaner if Linked busses would show as only two buttons, BUS1+2:LINKED and BUS3+4:LINKED rather than still showing four bus buttons. In any case here’s my main request; Our drummer gets his In-ear mix from the mixers built in Headphone amp!! In the mixer’s monitor settings, the Monitor Source is set to BUS 5/6 (which is once again a linked Stereo in-ear mix) When using your app with the XR16 mixer, your app only gives me the option of mixing 4 busses, which understandably are send to the four physical AUX outputs, however the mixer itself has 6 busses and in my case busses 5&6 are being sent to the Headphone output but using your app, I have no control over the drummer’s mix and in turn, he has to purchase your competitor’s app so he can mix to bus5&6. I assume that when your app is used with an XR18 mixer, all 6 busses show up in the app’s settings. Can you please re-work the app to show 6 busses when using it with the XR16?

Works as intended

Works exactly as it says. If you only want to control your monitor sound this app is a better option than other nor comprehensive apps. Simple layout makes it almost impossible to change settings by mistake.

Hmm

The app doesn’t work on my iPhone
