What we love: Using the app’s RAW Processing settings for precise control over a photo’s black point and gamut mapping, as well as how much Apple’s RAW decoder boosts the overall image. And when editing Apple ProRAW photos shot by recent iPhone models, you can work directly with the iPhone’s image-processing data. For example, use the Local Tone Map slider to adjust how much of the iPhone’s fusion effect is applied.
Quick tip: You can edit images within your iCloud Photos library without altering the originals, then switch over to RAW Power for iPhone or iPad to continue editing right where you left off. And with the app’s Photos extension, you can use RAW Power’s tools right in the Photos app itself.
Meet the creator: Nik Bhatt of Gentlemen Coders knows image processing to its core: he led the RAW Camera and Core Image teams during his 18-year tenure at Apple, working on iPhoto, Aperture and Photos.
