Lousy app

1. Downloaded the app and managed to set it up but it affected my wifi network thereafter. After that I can’t even connect to any network and is unable to join at all. Had to ask Singtel to force reset at their end and also on the mesh itself together.

2. Upon wifi is up after all the force reset, re-downloaded the App again as when it affected my wifi, I deleted the app. Now it just can’t detect that I am connected to a network & keep insisting on connecting it when it is already connected.

A total waste of my time and Askey needs to look into it since there are some many reviews with 1 star and all talking about the same issue

Horribly unstable app

Terribly frustrating. You’re supposed to create an account but the app refuses to acknowledge that the email is verified even though on the email side says “congratulations” (verified). Tried countless times. Finally logged out and went in again, then ok. Went in and managed to get up to the point where it asked to change your address, then the app crashed!!! Could not start up no matter what. Had to delete the app and start all over again. Then the same email verifying problem started all over again!!! Finally got to the same point and it crashed again!!!
Askey, please fix this horrendous app!! I can’t even get my mesh working!

Please accept our sincere apologies for your inconvenience. The network traffic caused registration and login function not working properly. Our engineering team was aware and working to resolve this issue. The issue has been solved, please try again and let us know if you have any more issue. Thank you for your patient.

No redundancy

I have no idea why an app is needed to set up a wifi mesh. Unlike TP-Link, there’s no way to set up if the app doesn’t work, and in my case, it didn’t at first. I needed to hard reset the mesh node 3 times because you can’t reset the node from the app if it crashes halfway and your setup gets stuck. Yes, that’s right, YOU CANNOT REMOVE NODES from your account. Once you add the node, that’s it. Even if you do a hard reset physically on the node, it will still be tied to your account/app. And so, if SingTel ever decides that this Askey nodes needs to be replaced, unfortunately, I will need a new email address and a brand new account. Rubbish design.
