Overall it’s a fun app! But there is an issue with the tickets recharge. Each ticket takes 30 mins to charge so if I start from 0 tickets and I open the app after any time between 31 mins and 59 mins, the countdown for the second ticket is reset to 30 mins again!!! Please solve this issue :(
Decent app to pass time and enjoy stories in a different format
This app was doing well until they started testing out new paywalls on the community feature - Tap Tales, where users share their own stories for free. I took out one star of my review because of the following:
The new paywall profits from this free user content by us using 1 out of our 2 free tickets or watching an ad for EVERY chapter, and the authors don’t earn any. We have the option to also wait 30 minutes to get pass for free, but in any case, they are options all not worth the effort. Though there are a few gems in the community stories, I can live without this new paywalled section now that there are other apps that make more sense to access stories with better writing.
I’ve frequently bought gems and tickets in this app to show my support for some of the stories developed professionally (Vampire Girl series, Doon, Obsidian etc), so I have no qualms about that kind of paywall. It’s the one for Tap Tales that I don’t think is reasonable, and I hope the company can reconsider this new business model.
Issues after Latest Update
There has been quite some issues with the game after the latest update. Although I haven’t been using my diamonds to make choices in the stories, they keep disappearing for no apparent reason. My number of diamonds have dropped drastically from 1300 to 900 over the past 3 days while reading only 2 books. As such, I would like to kindly request the game developers to please take note and assist us users on this problem. Thank you very much.
