ClassPass: Fitness, Spa, Salon 4+

Good concept overall but don’t expect any service ever from ClassPass if you ever encounter any issue - they will ask for your understanding on inflexible policies and put the responsibility of late cancels on you, the paying use, even if it’s a situation you have no control over, so you have to pay a late fee. How about they have some understanding on the real life issues of real people? Oh, and they take a full day or so to reply your emails, so good luck if you have any issues that need fast resolutions. App refreshes frequently, not always for the better, and at one time was stuck in a mode where I can’t search according to region without fiddling all over - that situation lasted a while. It’s apparently very hard to cancel the membership... but just cancel your linked credit card in that case. It’s probably just better to pay the studios directly to support the local economy; after all, ClassPass prices are not much cheaper and the studios provide much better customer service - even if ClassPass wants you to believe studios have similar cancellation penalties; because well, from my experience with many studios, that is simply untrue.

ClassPass is only suitable for people who regularly exercises (at least twice a week). While I understand the this app bridges you to different type of sports activities and experience, it is also not the most pocket friendly app especially since you will have to factor in services charges and other hidden charges through your credits for the classes you enrolled in. I’m additional, ClassPass is not flexible in their policy - they do their very best to keep you in their subscription in a way where we are expected to remember when our subscription plans are charged monthly, and they do not let you stop for subscription temporary for a period of time. You are expected to chat the CS team to have to halt your subscription but they will review and only halt it for one month then let’s you know they will continue charging. CS hotline are robotic and lacks empathy. Lastly, it’s very difficult to get a proper receipt, they don’t have that option, they expect you to talk them up every time you want to find it. This is my experience with this app. I will only recommend this to people who will book the activities / experience regularly, or people who wants to try a variety of new activities / experience for a short time.

So I went for my first spin class by using the trial for a month thing, and I enjoyed it.
However, I was left with 16 points after the first class and wanted to use it for my next lesson, but apparently we had to purchase membership just to continue, despite still having credits while being on trial? It’s quite disappointing honestly having to purchase membership WHILE being on trial. They mentioned that, “After your trial ends, your membership will automatically renew to a paid membership” but I had more than a week left on my trial…
However, because of how much I enjoyed spin, I might consider purchasing the membership but, hopefully the trial would really keep up to what was stated.
