Beautiful and functional
A tool should simplify the process, to get where you need to go. DayOne is my favorite at capturing and retrieving memories on the Mac or iPhone, and also works for paper journaling through it's scan. Been tyring all kind of apps, but ended up sticking with DayOne for nearly half a decade now … and it always pulls me back in.
Pleased to see how they evolved the tagging feature to jump in and out of context more easily (on Mac for now). And most importantly, they built it privacy-first. Well done! Enjoy!
great app that makes me want to journal
this is a great app that helps inspire me to keep putting in effort to create entries for my journal. i personally prefer to edit the entries from my macbook due to the keyboard. the ease of creating the first entry from my ipad or iphone helps lock in the memory or event that i would like to entry on. and then the details come in later through my macbook.
even after having used this for more than 12 mths, i think there are still some features that i am not using nor have the time to explore. the 'tag' feature is useful for me as the entries grow and I have to search for previous entries. it would be helpful for me to have an easy way to look through the tags.
loving it
I had subsribed ton One Journal before and while it was good, I sort of fizzled out of the habit of journalling and recently got back to the habit. I resubscribed and fell in love with the app again. It does make journalling so much better and easier. They have also added new features so overall, it does help with creating a new habit of journalling if that is what you are into and One Journal is one of the best app out there.
