Some recommendations

Discord is an amazing app, I have been using it for almost 1 year and there is everything available for gamers and non-gamers alike. However, I feel like there are some missing features that would improve Discord.

First thing: Channel Decorations, first… as I like to point out, some creative discord servers needs a great improvement, as a gray background can look bland to some people, I recommend an “image icon” to improve the server, just pressing it will show the same, ‘Camera/Photo library’ menu and confirming the photo people like, The server hosts can now design their own servers! (The video option will be available for Nitro or/and Nitro basic users.)

Second and last thing: Roles and channels having emojis, it/the idea might look basic, but imagine competition shows in Discord using customised emojis they created and showing it off, people can finally represent themselves/their server more clearly! (And of course, the animated emojis next to roles/channels will be for Nitro or/and Nitro basic people.)

To summarise it, I think these ideas/suggestions could really make Discord a better app. But even if you don’t consider these suggestions, I am fine with it as the app is basically perfect. Thank you for trying to consider whether to add these suggestions and I will check back in a few days/months to see whether you are willing to add these suggestions into Discord.

Great app

Discord is a great chat app for all types of people. Though designed mostly for gamers, it can be used for school clubs, study groups, etc. 1 big problem are the bots that DM people in your server and spread like chainmail. 1 way to combat them is to add them in the server but give them a role where they literally can’t do anything. Other than that, the community is great, there are many bots to use for banning, leveling (by sending messages) and even music in voice channels. If you’re looking to create a server a few must-have bots are MEE6 and UnbelievaBoat. Overall I rate discord a solid 10/10.

Suggestions

The app is really great for many things overall such as being a platform where we are able to chat with and call your friends, sharing your screen on call with sounds for doing activities together with them, having games while on call in case you get bored, having servers where people can make friends and meet new people and the list goes on.

However, I would like to suggest that the default banner option should be added back. I had changed the banner to my favourite colour and had realised it did not really fit with my profile picture and no matter how many times I had adjusted it trying to make it match, it just looked weird. I feel that it looked better when we were able to have a default colour where it helps you pick your banner colour so that your profile would feel more fitting.
