Superhuman opponents
Most of the time when the opponent has the ball all you can do is sit and watch while he dribbles all he wants because it is literally impossible to tackle him unless he makes a mistake or you go for a slide tackle, which works about 10% of the time. I spent about 90% of most match time just waiting and eating popcorn while the bots just play around with the ball with all the time in the world kicking it to each other or running leisurely back and forth across the field with the ball
Even worse gameplay
Updated after DLS24: Distracting UI making it harder to read stats of players. Gameplay “updated” to feel slippery and out of control. The game has become even more frustration with how my players keep miscatching teammates’ passes. Just to add insult to the pain, the new line “They’re struggling to string their passes together,” appears too often. Also, the sound effects has become untimely and dissatisfactory; the referee seldom blows his whistle and everything has been substituted for what was previously only triggered by “advantage.” The only saving grace is the new songs.
The overall gameplay is enjoyable, really, but the switch between attack- and defense-control isn’t smart enough, and I always end up tackling when I try to squeeze in a shot. It feels like the game itself, not the ai opponent, is plotting against me, and it’s dragging the mood down, a lot.
Added 6 months later: I gave up on the game earlier this year and picked it up again. It’s still as bad as it was, and the gameplay beyond Division 3 is impossible. My opponents’ common defenders are able to steal the ball from behind my legendary attacker, while my legendary defender can’t even tackle from in front.
Bad gameplay
i really love dream league 2022 but the issue here for me is that a 3 star team could beat my 5 star team and it honestly pisses me off my team their team could have a 70 overall and sprinting as fast as my 84 OVERALL Sterling 90 acceleration and 93 speed what is that all about? and its not even a new sub so they are not "tired", sometimes my players would just stand there and look at the ball when you could intercept it or tackle the person i really dont get it my strikers would be 90 overall and do skills and still get tackled easily where as a 70 overall could do skills over my OVERALL 87 Manolas 100 tackling and 86 strength and my player stops sprinting i rly love this game so please fix this issue it is really bad sometimes with all these issues, i ask the developers play a few games and just try and see how it truly feels sometimes
