Amazing visuals and storytelling

This game is one of the most beautiful 2D platformers I’ve tried. Really nice storytelling as well, I get the feeling this game is made by Catholics, really love the moral aspect of the game, how souls regretted how they lived their lives and are chained to the mortal world and need your help.

I like the amount of content their is, good number of skills, equipment and items to keep you going and looking forward to the process. The boss fights aren’t too insane like Dead Cells or Legend of Tianding.

However, there are some things about this game I find incredibly frustrating:

1. Few save points. This was probably the first and most irritating thing I’ve encountered, the save points are so few and far between. You lose all progress and return to the last save point when you die, I find myself constantly running back to a very far save point whenever I am low on high. I can’t tell you how many times I felt like pulling out my hair because I died before reaching a save point and losing all my progress.

2. Clunky controls. The controls for this game feel a little awkward. There’s a lag when the character jumps and lands which often cause me to miss time my jumps. I don’t see a point in having a button to ‘jump backwards’ and another between to dash forward, furthermore, both icons look almost identical, why not just combine them into a ‘roll’ button?

3. Super small text. Clearly this game was not made for mobile but at least try to do something to make it mobile friendly? I have to play this on my iPad just to read the words and it’s not very practical because it’s really heavy to hold up.
