Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions has arrived for iPhone/iPod touch!
Released as the Final Fantasy series' first tactical RPG in 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics on Playstation went on to sell over 2.4 million copies worldwide. The game grew in popularity upon its re-release in 2007 as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for the PSP with added features such as new movies, scenarios and Jobs.
Now, in 2011 the game has finally arrived for the iPhone/iPod touch! You can enjoy the game whose story gave life to the world of Ivalice, and whose high strategy battles bring tactical games to a whole new level.

- Intuitive Touch Screen Controls
The complex tactical game can be effortlessly and intuitively controlled by simply tapping units and menus. Gone is the old method of switching fixed map views - you can now rotate, move and change the size of maps as you please by sliding and pinching.

With respect to the previous comments on resolution, I think the gameplay is much better on the iPad obviously because of the bigger screen for interaction. And the cutscenes are definitely made for the iPad. Love the artwork!
I have played FFT on two other platforms previously. The original PSone and on the Nintendo DS. This iPad version graphics is definitely an improvement for one. And with the bigger screen u can pinch zoom rotate in any manner for the best tactical view. So it's way more interactive than before.
As for the price, it might be on e steep side. But after playing it over this few days, I think its worth every cent! Replay value is at least 60 hours.
For those who loves a challenge, lasting gameplay (as opposed to those 99cents 1hr gameplay), and old school FF, this game cannot be missed!
And no I am not paid to do this. Just am here to spread the word! Cheers all.

Finally...
It's out! Pricey but well worth the price for the amount of time you will be putting into the game. Great port but controls could be better. This is the game that doesn't lose its luster after all these years. If you have never played FFT but enjoyed games like ravenmark and battle for wesnoth, look no further! FFT veterans might want to buy it for nostalgia sake.
