Game of War - Fire Age 9+

Wen I started this game, no doubt it was very addictive and exciting game. After bought few in-app packages to boost my game speed, in my latest purchase, I didn't get the full items listed in the promotion pack. I complaint to MZ twice but they refused to do anything and asked me to contact iTunes store instead. After report to iTunes store, also no reply. Not only me didn't get the full items, few players in my alliance also encountered the same scenario. We really feel cheated because we spent real money in this game!!! Furthermore, the game servers keep crashing nowadays, they even have 2 emergency maintenance in 2 days which is today and yesterday. Although MZ will compensate player with a freebie but this has totally messed up the players' completion for certain events. When frustrated players show their unhappiness on MZ Facebook, none of MZ communication officer step out to post some updates and apologize. The overall experience of this game is dropping and be careful when you purchase any packages, always check to ensure you have what is listed there.

Would give it negative stars if I could. Apple should protect its users from grubby money grabbing companies like this.

Good news is that the game is well designed and is very engaging. The games starts of very promisingly with good mechanics for attacking and defending.

However midway into the game u start to realize the time taken for building and training starts to take too long, and it still seems fine cos devs still need to make money some how wi speed ups.

Moving towards late game u start to realize that in order to progress into the final stages of troop development, a whole lot of cash is needed. I'm all for monetizing a game but MZ has taken it to a whole new level.

Case in point, in order to unlock the strongest troops in game, you would need to max all buildings, 3 of which need gold to level up, and to level them up u would need at least 150k gold EACH. Which equates to at least US$700 each.

By then you would already have spent about 4 to 6 months into this game.

Ridiculous, not worth the money.

I've been playing the game for about 3 weeks and it actually quite funny, and very addictive. At a basic level the city building elements and hero experience based upgrading system would be familar to any fantasy gamer, yet the equip crafting I aspect of the game is more detailed and takes more time to understand. The other good part of the game is that joining a good alliance adds alot to the fun of the game play.

I have not encountered any server issues yet, and I have made to in-game purchases without any trouble. The only downside i feel is that it takes far to long to collect items need to craft equipment, especially when compared to the rate that other aspects of the game progress.

All in all highly recommend the game for casual gamers.
