Nice old school shooter, bad storyline
The game is good, I played it daily and it kinda drained my iPhone 6+ battery a little too fast.
Thought IAP is available, I didn't pay a single cent and enjoyed the game thoroughly, and completed it.
As the game progresses, the difficulty did too. But fortunately, the equipment that came with it even out the difficult levels.
The reason I didn't give it a perfect 5-star rating was because of the poor, poor storyline, and how the developers didn't give the players a good ending. The normal storyline has 100 sectors, 6 stages in each sectors, hence that makes plays (minimum). Add in the raid encounters, bounty hunts and cargo missions, I easily played more than 1000 times. But when I finished 100.6 sector, I got nothing. No ending scenes. No explanations whatsoever. The game just brought me back to 100.1. Utter disappointment there. Bad move, developers.
Tips:
1) I managed to clear the game with the only one ship, Anvinder. Its homing strike is too good. With it I can easily clear all cargo missions, bounty hunts and raid encounters (bought 2 more ships using cores, but didn't use them)
2) don't bother using coins to unlock normal boxes - they don't give good items. Instead, after unlocking Anvinder, use all remaining credits to unlock cargo items.
Perfectly designed.
Just the right amount of everything. Grinding is minimally required. Very nice soundtracks, although it isn't dynamic like most other games nowadays but I'm bored of that anyway. Besides, asteroid storms and calm music are uniquely complimentary to each other.
First app I've ever reviewed because it's so good. Should've done it earlier when I first started playing (now I've lost all my progress because I switch to a different device).
This game was my childhood
I remember playing this game 4 years ago, and playing it again now fills me with nostalgia. However, I’m not sure why the multiplayer option got removed, I really like that.
