The official Google app gives you more ways to search – Use your camera to uncover who painted that artwork, translate a menu on your travels, find out what type of dog that fluffy thing is, shop anything you can see, and solve your homework. Oh, and you can also search for songs by humming.
Feature highlights:
• Use your camera to identify what you’re looking at – whether that’s a colourful butterfly, a spiky plant, or anything else you’re curious about.
• Translate over 100 languages on things like road signs, menus, and any other words you can point your camera at.
• See something you like? Use your camera to find out where you can buy it.
• Refine your camera searches by adding words – whether you want those shoes but in ‘blue’, or want to learn how to ‘repair’ that broken bit on your bicycle.
• Search by singing, even when you’ve forgotten the lyrics. Hum a song into the Google app to find out what it is.
• Use your camera for homework help. With step-by-step guides and videos, you can learn ways to solve maths, chemistry, biology and physics problems.

Ratings and Reviews
After 4-5yrs usage, apps still keeps lagging every single day!
It took me a while to get used to using this app as I wasn’t initially sure what it’s used for as Chrome was my main browser at the time (4yrs ago). But even now, the constantly lagging app makes it a real chore to use.
It’s gone from my each-morning wake up app to one where I only use it occasionally at night and mainly on weekends.
In fact since 2019, the app will freeze for 5sec every single time I use it! You heard that right:
Every
Single
Time.
I don’t know what Google is doing or not doing to fix this. But when a well meaning, and frankly useful app is a constant annoyance, people will stop using it. It’s now 2020.. C’mon Google! I think it isn’t too much to ask for an app to work smoothly at least 90% of the time? FYI, I’m using an iPhone XS.
Can’t get any search results
For a couple of months, I could not search anything using Google app. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it does not work. I have also tried to clear cookies and cache but it still doesn’t work. Whenever I try to search for something, it would always appear “this webpage is not available” and i have ensured that it’s not due to my phone or wifi. Please fix this…I used to use this app a lot as it is convenient and it recommends interesting articles and updates which I enjoy.
Please be consistent
Google please make up your mind and decide on 1 interface for showing all my open tabs. It kept switching between sliding view and icon view. Personally i prefer the icon view where i can also decide if i want my tabs to be removed after a certain time.
Please just stick to one and leave it. Thank you very much.
