Grid Diary is introducing a unique way of writing a diary. In Grid Diary, diary entry is made up of a number of "Grids", which is as simple as a question, prompt, or etc. It is like a pre-defined template for the diary. Thinking and writing in this way is more effective, and it feels more natural and fluid. You still have total freedom in the amount of the grid and the text you want to fill in a grid.
We started with a simple and clear purpose, and have always kept minimal design in mind. Through carefully crafted gestures, Grid Diary enhanced user experience in many ways.

Grid Diary Classic is now retired
Grid Diary was launched in early 2013 as a paid app. We consistently rolled out free updates, feature upgrades, and customer support for over 6 years.
In January 2019, Grid Diary 2 was released as a brand-new app. We spent over 2 years on new UI design, rewriting every line of code in Swift, building our own sync server… to create the brand-new Grid Diary. Believe it or not, the more we afraid to die out like the small outstanding product (without a steady income to support everlasting development), the more we work hard and value our users.
This app is now renamed to Grid Diary Classic. Users are still able to download it from the App Store. It remains mostly functional, but as software services such as iOS, iCloud, Dropbox change and update, we can no longer keep this legacy app functional.
At this time we recommend transitioning off of Grid Diary Classic into Grid Diary 2 on iOS. Grid Diary 2 was made a free download, and allow users to import their data from Grid Diary Classic at no cost. There is a membership upgrade option via subscription for users that want sync, passcode lock, color themes, and many other new features. We are also offering a 6-month free trial for pro users.
The new subscription model in Grid Diary 2 allows us to continue updating this single version indefinitely. We will never release a new, separate app, all future updates and upgrades will be part of this app binary.
Some of you may be surprised by this change. But it’s the result of a long-term discussion about how to put Grid Diary’s development, and the future of our small team, on a sustainable foundation.
We feel this is best for our users and for the future of Grid Diary. We believe that it will be a life company for you and we want to be around as long as you are to store your memories.

Hi, I have been having habit of recording my life after installing this all, great app!
I have a suggestion, can you kindly enable another view of the diary by Questions?
Meaning I have a question: “Who have I met today?’ I want to see a list of answers based with date tags. Is it possible to do so?

Been using this app for about 8 months now. Love the minimalistic look of it. Simple and easy to navigate. The grid questions format of this diary app really encourages me to be more organised with my thoughts and think more deeply about the issues the questions ask about, so i find myself maintaining my entries more consistently and enjoying the process.
I highly recommend getting the lifetime premium to enjoy the full potential of satisfaction you can get out of this app currently 👍🏼 Being able to upload unlimited photos for all entries (instead of only 10 photos for the entire app if using the free version) helps a visual person like me. I also really like being able to use the "history content" feature -to reuse previous entries' grid contents- so that i don't have to waste time copy&paste or rewrite stuff that i had written previously into new entries. Additionally, can't remember if the feature of being able to customise the questions is free/part of the premium, but this feature is amazing. Love the personal touch it gives. Also, the password feature is great.
Recommendations for next update: please make this a cloud app that can be accessible on other devices as well :)
Purchased the app and Developers are not maintaining it anymore
Buyers beware. I like the app and paid for it. It’s a one-off payment that offers u the access to all the features of the app. Then the developers decided that they will no longer update this app for any OS upgrades, etc. This render the app essentially useless after a couple of years down the road and the payment for this app will go down the drain.
The developers created a similar app and is on monthly/yearly subscription instead and paid users of classic version merely gets a 6 month trial, after which we need to pay again. This is not a very good way of doing business. They should honour the promise and continue to maintain the app for the users of the paid classic version.
