Description

IMPORTANT: This game uses Metal and will only play properly on iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 5s, and beyond.

Something's rotten in the land of the dead, and you're being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. He sells luxury packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. But there's trouble in paradise. Help Manny untangle himself from a conspiracy that threatens his very salvation.

One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than when it won GameSpot's Game of the Year award upon its original launch. Grim Fandango still stands as a classic of the genre, with unforgettable characters and unique combination of film noir and Mexican folklore.

Remastered version includes

- Repainted, hi-res character textures
- New, dynamic lighting
- Classic score re-recorded with a full live orchestra
- Over 2 hours of exclusive developer commentary
- Concept art browser

Nice Graphics But Some Steps Dont Make Sense

We really enjoyed Day of the Tentacles and that is why we decided to go for another by the same production team. We enjoyed the graphics & dialogue. However, we would hv tore our hair out if not for online walkthrough help - which is completely uninspiring, when you need to just copy steps just so to move on in the game. Many steps are completely irrational so you will not be able to use your mind to figure it out....which means you need to spend X number of hours/ days/ weeks/months (if you hv that kind of time) to randomly click around before you can MAYBE, move on to the next step. And when you get stuck in one scene, some of the very annoying and grating sounds ...well, this is personal, but it will drove us up the wall. Very disappointed - game designers need to up their game and come up with solutions to problems in a more logical/sensible way so that people are able to solve them, rather than rely on customers to just mindlessly randomly clicking to solve problems. Not sure now if we even want to try out the other games from them. Would say Day of the Tentacles is still one of the cleverer and better ones. For us, this game was a waste of money.
