Its good but abit unbalanced

Overall a good game! Reminds me of DarkSouls and the difficulty is there. But what makes this game a real pain is the starting difficulty, its way too unbalanced as starting players are poor and need time to procure basic materials, wood, stone, fiber ect. So i would sudggest that you tone down the difficulty at the home base and surrounding starting areas and put all the other high level stuff at the harder places. Thks

Game eats ur money

I was enjoying the game quite a fair bit since the start. Died a few times and had to restart everything but I was still patient with it. But the game gets more and more difficult some two or three stars areas are insanely difficult. During one of the raven dungeon I have 20/30 zombies chasing me how can anyone survive that? I know you want to make the game difficult but this just feels like you guys are making it so that we are forced to restart and that way we would spend money to buy equipments to help. It’s going overboard.

I actually did spend money and bought some equipment a but what I realise is that every time I spend money to purchase a better equipment, the stronger monsters automatically dash across the screen to try and hunt me down to kill me. When I exit the area and re-enter they’re literally waiting there to kill me. This doesn’t happen when I don’t spend any money it doesn’t make sense. It feels like the game designer intentionally set the player for failure especially if they spent money to buy something better so they would spend more. Is this game rigged or something ? It’s absurd.

Hello.

There is no necessity to make any investments to get something in the game. You can find or reach everything you want without any money. Try to develop your own tactics on how to pass this or that moment in the game. The choice is always yours.

Time and patience

You will need a lot of time and patience for this game. And I mean a lot.
I tried my best but it’s enough for me now.

What really annoys me is to lose everything when you died and cannot find your “body” back at the spot. All the “rare” items you had are gone.
It is really unnecessary to design for exiles, direwolf, damned knights, night guest etc to suddenly appear from nowhere.
When you are viewing your inventory, game does not paused and you died.
The difficulty of this game is insane. It take decades to progress.
Craft materials are not easy to find in the beginning but when you find them.. you’re dead.
Inventory space is so limited that you need to run to and fro your stronghold and back to the loot.
So much energy used from one destination to another. Walking takes so much time even if it is beside your stronghold?

I give an extra star for the graphics and realism of the characters (e.g. gets sick after you ate the wrong berries).

Hello.

When you enter a quest or skull location for the first time, the game warns you that the location will be updated after leaving it, including after the death of your character. At any other location, you can find the character’s body and pick up items from it.
While you are at the location, there is a chance that event mob can run to you. This kind of mobs doesn't lose aggro and will pursue you till the end, even if you go out to the global map. And when you come back to the location they will be waiting for you in the same position. However, their appearance doesn't depend on whether you at your inventory or not. They show up exceptionally over time. As you have noticed yourself, we are adding some realism to our characters, that is why time does not stop when you look into your inventory.
In our game, there're 3 types of backpack, which can give you more free space in the inventory.
You can find them in the game or create by yourself in the crafting menu.
You do not have to spend any energy to travel. You can always go to the location on foot without wasting your energy.
But also, don't forget about watching advertisements. Twice a day, you can restore your energy for free by looking at the ads.
Grim Soul is not so easy game that a lot of items and skills become available at the beginning of the game. Yes, you need to try to ensure the exile's survival, and at first, it will be difficult. However, this is the main idea of the game - in overcoming difficulties no matter what.
