Tears of Themis 12+

at first, my friend recommended this game to me. let’s just say, this way WAY better than expected!! the extraordinary graphics, the amazing plot, the CUTEST characters etc. they’re literally so on point and perfect. I’ve never played such a game before, mainly because I found them uninteresting or boring. but this is an exception. I really love how the game has audio (by default, text is spoken in chinese — I understand chinese and so it’s a bonus :DD), like real people portraying as the characters!! it’s really calming and addicting to listen and play at the same time! also, the events are pretty good and it’s really interactive with some mini games inside (sweet afternoon tea 🫠🫠)!! after a while, I realised the developers of this game are the same as genshin impact (yes I’m kinda dumb 🫡🫡) it’s no wonder that the game itself is so good, def recommend to anyone who wants to try a new genre of games <33

Except that if Love Producer was in 2021 this game is in like 2036. The game mechanics are overall the same—UI on the home page may look hard to navigate at first but you’ll get used to it.

The game art is nice to look at, and the voiceovers are extremely fine! I downloaded the traditional Chinese pack… I’m blown away not by the effort put into the main leads’ voices, but for the support characters! Nearly got triggered after listening to a character complain about bad service lol.

Compared to Love Producer and most other otome games out there, I feel that Tears of Themis has a stronger and more cohesive storyline that you can get emotionally invested in (CRIMES!). It’s easy to relate to, so I find myself more motivated to continue through the storyline than dropping it all together (I usually uninstall games within two days of downloading, it’s my habit).

I suppose if they were a little more generous with the card pull system it would be better, but that’s ok. I can focus on building up what cards I have now.

Sometimes the game just quits in the middle of a trial. I play this casually so this doesn’t impact me so much but hopefully an area that can be improved on.

Mihoyo impresses us once again! Absolutely no regrets: the story is well thought out, the mini games are slightly repetitive, but still quite fun to play. The voice actors are amazing and the ART. No words can describe how gorgeous the graphics and animations are. The little side stories are always interesting, be it their personal stories when we visit them, or those you can read on their cards. Pulls are a bit hard to get, though not as stingy as Genshin.

All in all a really impressive game!
One little bug though: after every pull, my iPhone 11pro crashes. I hope this can be fixed!
