New Interface is poor

With the recent changes (over the last year or so) to the interface of the app, my experience with the app has been poor to say the least. From making poor interface choices like not easily being able view my booking location after making a booking to not updating (at least not frequently enough, most of the time I realise the cab is close by only when he’s arrived) the location of the cab post booking in a a reasonably frequent interval (or at least allow the user to refresh and display the drivers location on demand. I’d rate this app higher if it was at least on par with the older version but it seems like the usability has regressed.

Developer Response ,

Dear Sir/Mdm,

We are sorry to hear about the unpleasant experience that you have had with our app.

We admit our app is work in progress and we are constantly improving it based on feedback given by users, one of which is the visibility of the taxi on the map.

We have improved it such that the taxi is visible on the map while it is making its way to the pick-up point and users are able to track its whereabouts within 10-15 secs. We hope this improved feature will help enhance your user experience.

We thank you for your feedback.

This App is a Hoax

Seen many reviews got removed... that’s pretty sly. Anyway, this app is pretty crap.

1. Unable to select multiple location
At this modern age, you’re still running your business of point to point travel. Well, that’s pretty limited choice for riders. Even if we do input a note to driver that we’d like multiple location, the drivers may not even see our message or grumble all the way that the charge is not justifiable for multiple stops. And you pretty much gotta hear the driver rant all the way along your trip.

2. Low fleet to support the service
Be it peak or off peak, most of the time, you can’t get a ride in 1 call. You have to try several times. I wonder what’s the point of having an app when there’s not enough feet to support the riders. Comfort can very well keep to the old ways of using phone calls.

3. Steep prices
With less competitors in the market, I realised all ride hiring rates fluctuate more than oil or steel prices. And with less fleet as mentioned in point no.2, it appears as if it is all justifiable for them to whack their prices astronomically.

4. Sneaky drivers
See point no.2? If you can’t get a cab via normal call, try advance. Cause there’s an extra charge for advance and the probability of them accepting your advance booking in one try is high. Cheers to all the scheming, sneaky drivers roaming around you... waiting for you to fall into the helplessness and book an advance instead.

Developer Response ,

Dear Sir/Mdm, thank you for your feedback.

We understand how frustrating it can be when taxis are unavailable. If indeed our cabbies are forcing our customers to book advance, we will take them to task. You can simply report them to our customer service centre at feedback@cdgtaxi.com.sg.

We have always given our customers the option between choosing ComfortRIDE which adjusts according to demand and supply and normal metered fare. We also monitor the fares daily to ensure fares don't fluctuate too erratically.

We admit that our app is work in progress and it is far from the app we would like it to be. We already have new features in the pipeline, including allowing users to make extra stops through the app and these would be rolled out very soon.

We always welcome feedback so please do not hesitate to email us at feedback@cdgtaxi.com.sg.

Thank you.

Not user-friendly

First, closing off notification causes the app to stop working. So, we are not allow to off notification if we do not wish to receive it?

Secondly, I’ve changed my mobile number recently and was prompted to register. I’d entered my email address, but was told it was taken. Yes, it was under my previously-used mobile number but I was not given any option to change my mobile number under the email. So, am I suppose to get another email account just to register my mobile number?

I’d been using this app for many years now, but it doesn’t seems user-friendly at all. No other option for us to navigate so as we can log in using our email as well, then what’s the point of getting our email add upon registering? Hope the developer can fix the issues & get it works.

Developer Response ,

Dear Sir/Mdm, We apologise for the bad experience encountered.

Turning "On" of notification setting is required for status update of bookings.

You may wish to login to ComfortPoints website via https://www.comfortpoints.com.sg/#/home to update on your new contact number.

Hope this helps.
