Editors’ Notes

There’s only one thing easier than visiting the library: bringing it to you. Meet Libby, an app that lets you log in to your local library to access ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, all for the reasonable price of free. Sign in, link your library card, and go—it’s that simple.

Beats everything

I think Libby is a wonderful app. I enjoy reading with this app as I get to use multiple library cards. The good thing about Libby is that I do not need to let it load while I am reading (like on Safari). It automatically downloads the books and I can save my reservations for later. It also notifies me when I have a book that I can borrow or when they automatically return a book after it’s due date. I also can track my reading e.g. How long I have been reading, how many more pages are left.
Thank you NLB for creating Libby so that everyone’s reading experience is more enjoyable! 😇

116 books and counting

Back in 2019, there was a reading challenge at work. Then, I found out about Libby - a window where I can borrow books digitally from the local library. I read 33 books that year. A significant increase from 8 books from the previous year. The year after, I read 40 books and so on, et cetera. Currently I’m reading 2 books at the same time (both audio books) and my social media time spent is decreased. With so much reading, my writing has improved. I wrote a speech for my best friend’s wedding and she asked me if she can have a copy for her to frame it! It has improved my life.
