MealPal- Best Meals Around You 4+

I live on a budget of about $6 for each meal and that usually doesn’t go very far in the CBD. But MealPal makes me look forward to lunch hour and honestly i can’t go back. 5 stars.

Don't Ever try it if you are in SG. No choices except slightly more in Chinatown / raffles regional. I didn't know as before signing up, i cannot see the map and available options. (i was informed that it can be done omg website. But why don't you put it on map too). I already stayed at tanjong pagar region and there are only 5 options within reasonable walking distance. So i have been eating between two options. Also the carry forward feature is only when you continue the plan, or else all the balance are gone! Cancellation needs to be manual-writr to them then you can cancel. I forgot to cancel, now i am stuck with 30 meals in 20 days and they wouldn't extend to let me finish the credit unless i renew. They call it 'free one month'that i asked for, but actually i just want extension to finish up my own credits. No thanks! I will not use it again. Also the filtering and map functions and sorting functions are all pretty lousy. Not good user experience. Also on some day you just can't order, like xmas lunch, new year eve lunch although the shops are all open. So Now i am stuck with 30 meals that can be used uo on less than 20 of my regular meal shops. In the end i am definitely spending more than i just buy at the same shop for their bundle price and i am stuck to the same option. Oh yes and there are also multiple cases that you go there and found the shop is closed. Don't Ever use it if you are in SG.

I bought a package of $89 for 30 meals during the promotion. Due to my work travel, Mealpal agreed to extend the duration and I did receive the email confirming that my $89 for 30 meals were extended until Jan 20 (instead of Jan 8). Since I didn't manage to finish the meal due to my work travel, I decided to cancel the subscription after this 30 meals.

However, Mealpal still deducted $95 from my bank account in January and the employee said it was an automatic renewal. I asked for refunding since I hadn’t touched the meals of the new cycle yet (I was still using my 30 meals during that time). But Mealpal said I already consumed 7 meals out of 12 meals of the next cycle. This was ridiculous since those 7 meals should have come from my $89 subscription plan, not the January cycle.

The employee told me it was because of their technical issue that the $89 already expired but did not show in the app and because of that, she said I mistook my $89 plan was still valid. It doesn't make sense to me. This is so unacceptable and reflects how intransparent the app is.
