Overall, one of the, if not the most, best dictionaries I’ve ever used!
Great dictionary in one word. Good thing is once you open the word you look for, the first few lines describe the meaning of the word. Further if you scroll down you can see synonyms which helps a lot for better understanding. Easy interface, offline mode makes it even better.
The only thing I would suggest to developers to improve is to make it possible to listen pronunciation in offline mode.
It is no doubt helpful.
This dictionary helps people who want to learn the American pronunciation and spelling and to learn of the contrast between the British’s English and the American’s. I like how the application is programmed in such a way that the definitions are at the top, accompanied by examples, followed by even more examples, and then synonyms.
One issue I am facing on my iPhone 8 Plus is the glitch I experience while using Webster. The audio bugs really badly, sometimes, it produces no sound of the pronunciation even after clicking the sound icon. There was even once when I searched for “persona non grata” and I clicked the sound icon, the only sound that my phone made was “ata”. The words in front were completely “ignored”. I hope that this bug would be fixed as soon as possible. Keep up the good work!
One of the best dictionary Apps, if not the best!
I have used all of the major App dictionaries. The M-W App is simply the best.
Fast, records all of the previous word searches, & the clear audio pronunciations are excellent on my iPhone8plus.
This is the dictionary App that I recommend all my executive clients as a must- have.
It’s my absolute go-to App whenever I want to check a word.
