Not bad, seems like playing Cluedo. But do work on the energy part..
I agree to paying for a good game app and this game is considered as reasonably good. I also must agree to many who feedback about the long waiting time for the Energy, the concept is good but too long. It does kill one’s interest within a short time. The next alternative would then be paying for Energy, which will eventually be depleted, then what next? Well it’s paying again. Not all games work well with your current pricing system including this game Murder in the Alps.
I am a gamer of free and paid apps. Before game apps on smart phones/devices, i played PC games, all of them need to be paid, prices range from $10 up to $150 and it’s one-off. So i am rather familiar with gaming (from gamer’s perspective) in almost every aspects.
Currently, this game is not just waiting long for full energy but also depleting alot of energy for each action/move. I don’t think i could continuing playing after the Chapter “Deadly Snowstorm”given the current situation.
Well, you could give a free trial up to a period or up to certain chapters of the game then invite gamers to go for the full edition with a 1 off-price and give an option to gamers to buy unlimited energy at another price.
Anyway, good effort there with the grahics, plot and music.
Good game but have problem with energy level
Overall, it’s a good game but I am a little upset with the fast depletion of energy. I spent over $30 for 4000 energy (with strategy guide) but there was a technical fault towards the end of part one so I wasn’t able to proceed with the game. I contacted customer service, and after a few ding dongs, they gave me ‘some energy’ but that additional energy wasn’t sufficient for me to re-do some of the steps (they could not start my game at where I ended) and to make things worse, i could no longer access the strategy guide. I contacted customer service again, but they told me to use my points to purchase the guide, which I thought wasn’t fair. Although it’s a good game overall, I thought nordcurrent should improve their customer service standard.
First off, I believe in paying for service - whether it’s movies or music or games or utilities - as I appreciate the effort that goes into producing these. But this game takes it too far. It’s really good but consumes way too much energy (the in-game currency). Beyond a point it becomes really tiresome. The game wins in terms of plot and gameplay but completely loses in striking the balance between free and premium. After crossing a few stages you can’t really play for more than 5 mins without losing all your energy. The only option then is to buy energy (for 4 dollars you will probably last 5-6 more mins) or wait 6-7 hours for the energy to regenerate for another 5-6 mins of gameplay. Then repeat all over again. Gets worse every passing stage. Definitely uninstalling. Developers - you have lost another payin* consumer who doesn’t mind spending 10 bucks everyday. Because you are just too greedy & shortsighted.
