Our Daily Bread 4+

I think the App isn’t working anymore. Could not load the App for almost 4 months. Whenever I open the app, it crashes immediately. I’m not sure what happened, been waiting for updates hoping it would solve the problem. Really hope to getting back on the App again! Thank you.

I am disappointed with the so-called newly updated Our Daily Bread. I think the reader is not doing it right at the closing prayer. I’m a firm believer in the words of the Lord Jesus Christ that every prayer should be made in His Name. “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John14:13-14). The phrase ‘in My (His) name’ is repeated. Praying in His name is so important to get His blessings and answers.

However, for the past few weeks since the ODB website was ‘updated’ we are getting new readers who do not pray in His name. It’s just a mere ‘Amen’. One can’t tell who you are praying or petitioning to. It is not spiritually edifying at all. You are not teaching young believers how to pray.

I’ve deleted my ‘Our Daily Bread’ app and have gone back to the traditional way of getting ODB from the website each morning. It’s a little inconvenient but at least I get to listen and pray with the more traditional old-time believers whose prayers are more genuine, more heartfelt, and not just merely reading from a prepared script though ending with ‘amen’. One can’t even tell if the prayers were made to the Lord Jesus as there is no reference to His beautiful name.

I wish we could go back to the old Our Daily Bread.

This is a great devotion app. Please help to rectify the profile section, ‘country’ part. I tried to change one country to another country but it won’t change. Tried to logout and login won’t change . Power on and off also won’t change. Thanks.
