Well-crafted game hampered by server issues and frequent app freezes
With the Metal update, the graphics are amazing and gives a very good impression. Gameplay is easy to catch on to and pretty addictive. I like it that I can enjoy the storyline progression without paying for in-app purchases, as long as you are patient. Overall, the game is very well made and worth your time to try it out if you like strategy games.
However, there are multiple server maintenances throughout the day, which interrupts the gameplay. While it is good that they warn players 5min in advance before a server maintenance occurs, I often do not know how long it will take. There are times when the app is stuck on loading screen. You can tell that it is hanging if the loading icon at the bottom left stops spinning. In that case, terminating the app and re-launching it might solve the issue. There are occasional application hangs as well at any point of the game, in any screen, which hopefully will be resolved by Ver. 1.4.
It’s a great game, but the backend support needs to be better.
Great game!
Been playing since 2015 and is a great game! Very enjoyable to see your island, pirates, maps and rank grow and improve! When I downloaded it I was instantly hooked. However, for your information there aren’t very many new updates (maybe once a year at most) incase you are into that sort of thing, but the devs do post game news on a notification board in the app every month or so. In my opinion the game doesn’t need updates. Even though the active player base is slowly shrinking it does not affect gameplay as there are still many active guilds and players. Overall, I definitely would recommend playing Plunder Pirates!
Don’t waste time playing!
This is a pay to build game! The buildings are expensive if you don’t play with real money, basically it is a boring game!
