Random Dice: Defense 9+

A refreshing take on a simple strategy game.

Honestly, I expected a trash game when I downloaded this and wanted something to pass time while on the train and when my other games are on maintenance. This surpassed my expectations and I felt like this is really good for what seems to be a small title.

PvP and PvE actually felt interesting. While admittedly a lot can be done to introduce more variety to the game, it actually isn’t just a pay2win game. I never felt like I am rushed to succeed at all.

This game is also very simple to pick up, and game knowledge is very important. Of course luck does play a part in winning games (I am looking at you, Knight boss), but very often you are not depending on just luck to win if you play your dice right!

Of course, there are some issues. Legendary dice for one is a grind. I expect it to be a grind when there is no real paywall to this, but the bosses are a little repetitive. Hopefully more bosses can enter the rotation so I feel less bored while grinding.

All in all, it deserves the rank 1 Strategy game in the App Store (Singapore). Its simplicity and lack of crazy animations and load times makes it good for even dated devices. However, the business model is not that great. I would pay for a no-ads, infinite pve system rather than an upgrade to 10 free though. Hopefully you guys understand.

Frustrating Matchmaking Experience

This game does a lot of things well. Unfortunately, co-op mode isn't one of those things this game did well. When a teammate leaves, the game only searches for another for 5 seconds. If it hasn't found one, the game keeps continuing with just one player. On top of that, it takes up a charge. Players are only given 5 charges a day. So, to recoup on the missing charge, the player would have to watch an ad. The player who stays shouldn't be penalized for a teammate leaving. Another problem is the matchmaking for PVP. It shouldn't be possible for a player with only 700 trophies and no legendaries to be matched up against a player with 1300 trophies and a full legendary deck. And yet, that was what happened yesterday to me. The matchmaking has been pretty unfair, wether its me with no legendaries against a player with full legendary deck or me against a player with a vastly inferior deck. This game is incredibly infuriating to play at times.

I under-estimated the game.

I thought this would be one of those games that are churned out to make a quick buck with ad-spams. Boy I was wrong. I have been playing since near the start of the year and still am itching to play.

A little suggestions for the devs; could you make it possible to open ALL card boxes at once? I accrued so many cards but opening them is way too slow and tedious.

Also, perhaps legendary 7 star dice could have a special cool down function unique to its ability would be cool too, as they get ignored as it is currently.
