Redecor - Home Design Game 17+

It would be a fun game, but there are lots of technical issues. The game is stuck every 5 minutes with message displayed that something went wrong. I tried to purchase a wallpaper and same message. Quite frustrating.

Also, be prepared to spend money on in app purchases as otherwise you will not have much fun. Purchases are quite expensive as you need to first pay for the ability to purchase additional items. For example if you want to have more wallpapers you need to unlock them first and then you can buy them. That’s really a rip off

If the technical issues get fixed along with the purchase policy the game could be fun.

It’s rare to see a decorating simulation game in App Store. Redecor divides the whole game into multiple bite-size Challenges - scenes with different items, styles and demands. Items provided are rendered in details. Texture, reflection and sometimes color varied on different cases of surface and lighting, producing surprising result from time to time. Not the mention the variety of choices on surface finishing. Metal, stone, wood, tiles, cement, carpet, clay. The vast selection of items provide endless fun on trying out different combination. That is, until one is running out of fund. Although initial fund is provided, and it is not a small number, it will run dry in day 1 or 2 due to the Reward system is so rigged that most Challenges only end with negative cash flow. The compulsory bulk buy on each items drive the wound even deeper. Daily gift only hands out a very small sum. Other means of earning is only through voting other players’ design, which also have a daily limit. Once exceeded, it only give out petty amount. For a normal level of enjoyment in this game, it would seem that purchase of in-game currency is unavoidable.

Redecor has and always will have a free-to-play option, which allows our players to complete challenges without spending actual money. The better your designs rank in the voting, the better rewards you get. You can also collect cash and coins by completing daily quests, by voting frequently, and by climbing the levels on Season pass. However, if you would like to play more and get more exclusive materials, you can buy additional coins or bundles. This is common practice for many game studios, and this is the path that we are following as well :) We hope you'll enjoy redecorating with us in the future as well – there are many new features yet to be introduced!

Basically a good casual game to play. Have some quality issues with are not addressed to date:

1. Size of items sometimes do not match with the actual room or table (pot that is extremely small on table, laptops or monitors extremely big or too small for a deco)

2. Pixelated lines and inconsistent finishing outlook when select and deselect some materials

3. Not able to view your design duel opponents profile, probably just from a saved file from some players.

4. Design briefs sometimes have specific colours, but winners usually do not use them and allowed to win, there should be requirements that must be met for such briefs, otherwise its unfair.

5. Purchases are vague. No details or whatsoever for packages, the items are not reflected if they can be further bought in cash, gold or coin. This is an important aspect in my opinion as the materials are way too expensive.

6. Not transparent in voting system. How many votes does it take for the algorithm to stop voting the group of 10 designs. How many votes was received.

7. Its really frustrating to be winning and repeatedly given back the same items also. I am only keen to pay more when i have confident the game is fairly awarding players who win.

8. There could be a button to allow the material selection lists to directly move back to top again instead of scrolling.
