Saw their ad and I needed a service that is lower on rates. The rates are “locked in” but changes with time.. First time deal, you have to verify which they say takes an hr but i had to further verify even though I submitted two documents alr and even so it was hrs ltr that I received msg to contact them. And the transfer itself? If 10 days is fast for you, go ahead and try them. I’m transferring from SGD to MYR. It’s even faster if I go in Msia and give the money myself. Also, cancelling will also take 10 days to refund. Not recommended. :) Customer service officer natalia was very polite though .

Compared to other services I have used, Remitly is really slow at getting my transactions completed. I made the transaction on Sunday (from SG to MY - which isn’t from one continent to another) and it’s already Thursday evening, it still shows the transaction is in progress. The worst part is it shows on the tracking timeline that the money would go through by 30 June and it’s already 1 July evening. So the promised date is just for show? Other service provider like TransferWise only takes 2 days (maximum!) to complete my transaction. This is the last time I’m using Remitly.
