Many things to improve

I’m a casual rider, today I give it a try to use this app. From Seletar to Thompson. 30 mins ride.

I explored more than 50% (very fast) battery usage than Google and my usual ride app Bikemap. So it turns out after 1.5hr ride my battery ran out of battery from 70% to 20%… this is quite bad so I have to turn off the app to avoid no battery. BIG PROBLEM.

During the trip, the app direct me to go very far away route that 2x the Google map distance. And this app can not reroute if you did not follow the suggest route. Quite strange.

And what is exactly those dinosaur icon is? Actually it’s very big and blocking the visibility of the map.

I still give 3 stars as good initiative for having new apps for biker, however I’m suspecting those developers are not the biker, they may need to really dig more on what exactly this app can do better than Google map/ Bikemap can do, I will delete the app and wait another 6 months to see if still worth to use again.

Thanks for giving 3-stars for our Beta. Its great encouragement for an early pre-funded start-up. Our founders are both avid cyclists since the 1980s. Ridenjoy utilizes the National Map of Singapore cycling mode programmed to utilize the country's PCN and ICN where possible, unlike Google Maps. Ridesaur avatars are the nearest 50 riders to your current location and will be of similar size to your location (blue dot) when moving. You are spot on, Ridenjoy is not designed to replace Navigation Mapping and Cycling apps. It is an active mobility lifestyle platform that rewards users for cycling. Navigation features will be incrementally increased so do look out for futher updates. We hear you on battery drain and we are concerned too. Please add the ability to choose a starting location to plan out route in advance. the app doesn’t work at all if location is not shared which is unnecessary as if location is being tracked.

Good to use

This is definitely not a navigation app (like what the founder said) but an all in one mobility app for events, rewards and location based services. It’s navigation might be limited compared w Google but it works and I can now cycle on PCN and ICN instead of using public roads as recommended by GoogleMaps Cycling. Bravo to e founders
