Who is Roald Dahl?
Sitting in a hut at the bottom of his garden, surrounded by odd bits and pieces such as a suitcase (used as a footrest), his own hipbone (which he’d had replaced) and a heavy ball of metal foil (made from years’ worth of chocolate wrappers), Roald Dahl wrote some of the world’s best-loved stories including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Twits, The Witches, The BFG, Fantastic Mr Fox, James and the Giant Peach and lots more.

An addictive Dahl-based game
I am writing this review as a keen fan of the Roald Dahl books. This app game, based on The Twits, is an unusually addictive game for an adult fan of Dahl like me. The player needs to swipe the food away from Mrs Twit. If she is hit often enough, she'll whack Mr Twit. This is a straightforward premise, but there might be some problems with the design of the game. When the game sets missions for the player to complete, it does not take into account that the player has completed them (e.g. squished worms) before being told to do so. Also, it tends to assign the same mission repeatedly. Another problem I notice is the mission of last-minute saves. It might prompt recklessness and the player might unconsciously hit Mrs Twit. While I enjoy this game, I hope that the developers could improve it for future versions.
