Screen Time Parental Control 4+

I used to love this app as a parent and never fail to recommend to other friends whom want to manage their kids screen time. However now it's no longer working. Seeing my teenager son playing with his phone (he's allowed to do so) and when I look at the Screentime app on my phone, it shows he has not been playing with the phone for the last 18 hours. That can't be right. I immediately suspected that he did something to bypass and proceed to lecture him. He was angry with me as he did nothing. I took over his phone and checked through all the settings and all I raft. Open the Screentime app on his phone and it suddenly shows up that he is using the phone on my app. (And this is not always the case. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't). It's so stupid that I need to tell him to keep the Screentime Tapp running in the background. It should just run. Anyway I tried feeding back and till date no response. I am getting tired of trying to see what's wrong with the app. Son is using a Huawei Y6 Pro which should be a common enough phone. Anyway waiting for the subscription to end so can move to another app. Still looking out for one....

I really appreciate the different levels of approval this app enables. You can vary permissions not just based on schedule (ie allow use only during certain times), but also based on what type of apps are locked or unlocked according to your set schedule.

The ability to set rewards (ie additional phone time) based on completed tasks is also useful. This way junior is not just prevented from using the phone during homework time but also incentivised to do his homework.

My favorite feature - being able to pause their use of the phone with just a click of a button wherever I am, and send a message explaining why - no need to shout scream or argue.

The developers are obviously people who understand parents and kids well, and have developed an app that helps parents parent better in a digital age. Do yourself and your kids a favour and download this if you’re a parent - and ignore all the 1-Star ratings which are obviously by kids on whom the app worked way too well! In fact, the 1–Star ratings are what prompted me to pay for premium. Something that gets their goat so bad is obviously working well!

An aside - my app had some problems recognizing my premium subscription, but after some to and fro with support this was worked out.

This Screen Time App basically ruined my childhood.
It gave wrong/inaccurate reports on my usage and had to be in the background. I couldn’t use anything (even for schoolwork) without that thing on. When it was, it kept on crashing and was a pain to me.
Furthermore, my parents thought that this inaccurate computer program was correct and I was limited to 10 min (for anything). I am shocked to see your ratings of 1.7, if I could I wouldn’t put any stars.
Thank you so much, Screen Time, I often fail to see how in any way this program is useful, except for causing anguish and being a barrier and obstacle.
Like all obstacles, this app has to be removed
